Field Marketing Specialist

What You’ll Do (but not limited to):

  • Represent the Speck Brand with a high degree of understanding of all products, attributes, differentiation and value.  Demonstrate an understanding of the wireless industry and Speck business priorities.
  • Create and leverage strong relationships with retail partners in order to influence and drive opportunities to train in-store, plan for and execute consumer demo events, assist in selling, and participate in special events. 
  • Participate in training and table events at regional and district levels to reach a greater audience.
  • Participate in special events sponsored by Speck or retail partners and serve as the brand and product expert – both consumer and business facing.  Some travel will be required to events out of state.  Examples of events include Best Buy Market Trainings, CES, music events, local events.
  • Be the “go to” person for Speck for all regional account activities including kick-off and seasonal trainings.  Build a roster of market contacts at the training, promotions, store management, district and regional levels.
  • Be an expert on Speck’s products, answering questions and providing ongoing training to consumer electronics retail sales associates, regional mobile carrier account teams, carrier training departments, carrier-branded retailers, and key regional accounts.
  • Plan, schedule and manage market coverage priorities.  Execute a minimum of 30 store visits per week, ensuring completion of specific Monthly Objectives. Implement and utilize tools for routing, tracking productivity and delivering reporting.
  • Develop regional accounts (authorized resellers) by educating on the “Speck Difference” and driving POP/branding solutions, consideration of line extensions and general training/demo support.  Communicate opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and participate in weekly program calls.  Be the expert of market conditions and communicate issues and opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Capture and report on store visit activities and conditions at retail in compliance with field program reporting guidelines.
  • Attend national meetings at HQ when scheduled.

Your Professional Profile:

  • 3-5 years brand/product marketing, field services, merchandising or related sales training experience.   Proven ability to manage and execute territory responsibilities preferred.
  • Expert communicator – comfortable and confident in presentations of small and large group venues. 
  • Demonstrated success in working independently as a member of a remote team.
  • Proven to be responsive, responsible, proactive, self-motivated, creative, and flexible.  Delivers on commitments and can adjust to changing priorities.  Must have a sense of humor, and embody the tone of our brand – fun!
  • Work experience in wireless (mobile) carrier or device manufacturer or accessory industry a plus
  • Bachelors degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • Must own a car, have auto insurance and have a clean driving record
  • Must have access to credit for travel and expense purposes.

  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Field Specialists will report to the Regional Manager as part of a high-visibility, highly respected team of product & market experts. Candidates selected will be required to learn about Speck products both in the field and will also receive training at Speck’s headquarters.  Specialists will also receive key Speck products to use during events and demo to customers and sales associates.
